I grew up in a world that valued sameness
over individuality. Quietly, I learned to say yes,
to stay agreeable, to make others comfortable.
My voice existed, but buried. As long as I didn’t disturb, I was accepted. But that acceptance came
at a cost: my erasure.
Silent Conditioning
Everything changed the day I made a personal, sincere, and unapologetic choice. A single “no” was enough to break the fragile balance around me. Those who claimed to want the best for me revealed another face. I was no longer their reflection,
I was becoming myself. And that was unsettling.
